Practical and emotional support when you need it
Domestic abuse can affect many parts of life, not just how someone feels. Alongside counselling, we offer practical guidance, group programmes, one-to-one support and help accessing other services where needed.
What We Offer
Domestic abuse can affect much more than one relationship. It can affect confidence, wellbeing, family life, housing, finances and how safe or in control someone feels.
That’s why our support goes beyond counselling. We take time to understand what is happening in someone’s life and what kind of help might make a difference.
Where we can help directly, we will. Where someone needs specialist support that we don’t provide, we can help them find and access the right service.
-
Sometimes the first thing you need is someone to listen.
Our team can offer confidential one-to-one support to help you talk through what is happening, understand your options and decide what you want to do next.
-
We offer both short and longer-term counselling, depending on individual need.
Our counsellors work in a person-centred, trauma-informed way and come from a range of therapeutic backgrounds. Support is reviewed along the way rather than being restricted to a fixed number of sessions.
-
Domestic abuse can bring practical problems as well as emotional ones.
We can help you think through the wider issues affecting you and connect you with other services where more specialist support is needed.
-
Domestic abuse can have a wider impact on children and family relationships.
Where it is safe and appropriate, we can support people to understand that impact, strengthen wellbeing and work towards safer family relationships.
