How can we help?
Domestic abuse affects people in different ways. You may be living with it now, trying to make sense of something that happened in the past, worried about your own behaviour, or supporting someone else.
Wherever you're starting from, we'll listen and help you work out what support might be right for you.
I've experienced domestic abuse
If you are experiencing domestic abuse, controlling behaviour or harm in a relationship, you do not have to work out what to do alone.
I'm worried about my behaviour
If you're concerned about the way you behave in relationships, we can help you look at what is happening, understand the impact on others and work towards change.
We work with professionals and organisations supporting individuals and families affected by domestic abuse and harmful relationship behaviours.

Support that works around you
WHAT WE OFFER
There isn’t one right way to recover from domestic abuse or make changes in your life. We offer different kinds of support depending on what you need, and we’ll work with you to find what feels most helpful.
One-to-one counselling
A private, confidential space to talk with a trained counsellor about what you’ve experienced, how it has affected you and what you want to work through.
We offer both short and longer-term counselling, with support reviewed along the way so you’re not expected to fit everything into a fixed number of sessions.
Group programmes
Our groups bring people together in a safe and supportive environment to build understanding and confidence.
We run domestic abuse awareness groups for individuals who have experienced abuse, as well as separate programmes for those who want help to recognise and change harmful behaviour.
Practical support and guidance
Domestic abuse can affect much more than your relationship.
Our social workers and wider team can help you look at practical issues affecting you and your family, talk through your options and connect you with other services when specialist support is needed.
Our counselling is person-centred, trauma-informed and holistic. That means we look at the whole person and what they need, rather than trying to fit everyone into the same approach or timeframe.
Our counsellors come from a range of therapeutic backgrounds, including Person-Centred Therapy and CBT. All counsellors are BACP members or student/trainee members and work within appropriate professional, ethical and supervisory frameworks.
We understand that domestic abuse can affect far more than one relationship.
It can impact confidence, mental health, family life, safety, finances and a person’s sense of control. Where someone needs support beyond what we provide directly, we can help them find and access other appropriate services.
Support shaped by experience
Person-centred
Support shaped around you, your experiences and what you need.
Trauma-informed
We understand how trauma and coercive control can affect safety, trust and wellbeing.
Holistic
We look at the wider picture, not just one issue in isolation.
Professional
and safe
Counsellors work within recognised professional and safeguarding frameworks.
Helping create safer futures
Domestic abuse can affect confidence, wellbeing, relationships, children and family life.
By helping people understand what they have experienced, feel safer and rebuild confidence, the benefits can reach beyond the individual.
And where someone is causing harm, supporting them to recognise that behaviour and take responsibility can help reduce further harm.
Our focus is always on greater safety, healthier relationships and breaking harmful patterns for the future.
Breaking cycles. Creating safer futures.
Because positive change today can make a difference for families tomorrow.
